Branco Mykonos

Great hotel with beach access . The service was amazing, highly recommend for couples.

My husband and I booked this place in the beginning of February for our honeymoon in July. We had a travel agent, who was diligent and checked in with them multiple times about room description and making sure that everything was confirmed. The morning we were leaving New York to go to Greece, they called and said we no longer had our room and we could stay at a different hotel if we wanted. We were supposed to be staying there for 4 nights and were on our way to take a 10 hour flight to Greece, with now no where to stay. They told the travel agent there was a computer clitch and they had no where for us, even if we went to a smaller room. They couldn’t care less, said too bad and figure it out. They told our agent, who has given them so much business, we could stay at a family friendly hotel down the road, for our HONEYMOON. They are a disgrace. If you want to stay at a place that doesn’t care at all for their customers and cancel on you literally last minute, then stay here.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! We booked this hotel (directly through their website, not third party) well in advance. We were on our way to Mykonos when they called and told us they overbooked, we had to scramble to find something else. Branco was SO SO unaccommodating and rude during this process. Seeing a lot of other reviews with the same issue, don't risk it!

I stayed in Branco Mykonos for five days in June and stayed in the superior room with a sea view. It was an amazing stay. The room itself was pleasing and the bed was very comfortable. There was not much storage or counter space but we made it work. There was a small window that faced directly to the sea but our balcony which was on the side of the room had a view of the sea and hillside overlooking the pool, beach and bar area. My room was close to where the DJ was and the music did not disturb me one bit. I had a lot of trepidation after I booked this hotel because I saw many reviews complaining about the loud music. But when I went in June, the music was never so loud that it was bothersome. In fact the morning had really soothing jazzy type of music until around noon. The music got more energetic during the day when the beach club was in full swing but by evening everything was back to normal. Most people went out to dinner in town or elsewhere and I couldn’t hear any music from my room. If you are a person who doesn’t want any music at all then maybe this isn’t the place for you but most places had some type of music playing during the day. Breakfast every morning was prepared to order and was delicious. It was a perfect start to the day in their outdoor restaurant which faces a beautiful beach with small yachts and catamarans. The food and drinks were very pricey which is not unusual for a beach club but probably a little more so because this location is one of the best ones we saw while we were there. It was the most luxurious one on this ***** of beach. But the presentation of the food was quite impressive. The cocktail prices were as steep as NYC martini prices but they were very good. But to keep within our budget we stuck to drinking beer, Greek wine and fredo cappuccinos which were delicious while on the beach. We preferred to eat authentic Greek food at tavernas a little outside the area and the hotel gave us good recommendations. There is a very nice trail that you can walk on for breathtaking views that takes you near the next beach town and other restaurants. We ate at Tasos which I highly recommend. Branco Mykonos is also very convenient to get to Little Venice for sunsets. A private cab to Mykonos old town for about $40 can be arranged by the hotel upon request and a bus which was around $4 euros a person was also super easy to take as well near the hotel. The beach on the property had luxurious beach accommodations for guests. The chairs were so comfortable with nice plush orange towels and pillows if you needed. The first row was reserved for day guests or people who paid extra for the front row. But second row was just as good and there was plenty of seating everywhere. It was so nice to go to a beach resort where you didn’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn to reserve a chair or pay a worker to do it for you. I am extremely disappointed with Branco Mykonos. I booked a stay months in advance for February, only to have it abruptly canceled three days before my planned arrival in July. The last-minute cancellation with such short notice is unacceptable and caused significant inconvenience. It’s clear that they have poor management and communication. I will not be booking here again and would advise others to look elsewhere for reliable accommodations.

dont risk booking here... this hotel OVERBOOKS and then cancels last minute - leaving you to try and find another booking (at much higher prices). YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! Search other review sites and you will see this is common practice for this hotel. They are either incompetent, or they do this on purpose.

I spent a whole Sunday on the beach. Had lunch, cocktails, sunbathing, massage. Everything was great, beyond expectations. Tasty food , exceptional service . Really had a blast and I would highly recommend it . The music and whole ambience contribute to feel sooo relaxed and recharged

We can’t say enough about the Branco Mykonos! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff is excellent! Our room had a full sea view with a balcony! The lobby, restaurant and beach areas are gorgeously decorated and every single time we entered any area, the staff greeted us warmly and were ready to help in any way, to accommodate us! The beach attendants were helpful with our complimentary sun beds and were attentive but never pushed us to order, though we did have lunch and drinks at the beach one of the days and it was delicious! The breakfast was amazing offering fruit platters and Eggs Benedict and Greek yogurt with honey, not to mention a full range of pastries and breads. The breakfast staff is super friendly even offering to move us closer to the beach when a table opened up, without us even having to ask! We loved the location of Branco on Platis Gialos Beach was perfect! We didn’t want to leave other than to walk around old town Mykonos one of the days! We will definitely stay at Branco when we return to Mykonos!
